Winter is rough on a landscape. By the time spring rolls around, beds are full of debris, shrubs have lost their shape, and the whole yard just looks tired. That's exactly where this Chagrin Falls property was when we showed up.
We started with a full spring cleanup - clearing out the winter buildup and getting the beds back to a clean slate. From there, we trimmed the shrubs to bring back their structure and definition. These aren't small plantings either. The beds wrap around a large, tiered boulder wall with natural stone detailing, Japanese maples, and a mix of evergreen shrubs. Getting everything looking intentional and tidy takes patience and a careful hand.
After the trimming was done, we laid fresh mulch throughout the beds. Dark mulch like this does two things - it gives the landscape a sharp, finished look, and it helps the soil retain moisture as temperatures climb. Against the natural stone wall and the deep red of the Japanese maples, the contrast is really something.
The lawn got attention too. Striped, clean, and green edge to edge. When the turf, the beds, and the hardscape elements all look good at the same time, the whole property comes together in a way that's hard to miss.
Properties like this one have a lot going on - mature trees, ornamental plantings, stone features, and a large turf area all needing different types of care. That's where having a team that handles lawn care and landscape maintenance under one roof makes a real difference. Everything gets done right, at the right time, without the homeowner having to coordinate multiple crews.
